Walking by at the fall High Point Furniture Market I caught this man shining this buyers shoes. Fact is, several fellows could be seen lined up Main Street armed with wooden shoe shine boxes. Reminded me of taxi cab drivers lined along the curb waiting on a fare to come by. I happen to have a couple of old wooden shoe shine boxes & shine my own shoes from time to time. Spring time will once again bring another market & shoe shine men will no doubt line the walls of Main Street.
